Well we're a couple of weeks into our new weekend schedule and so far things are great. The first weekend we had over 1,000 in total attendance which was encouraging. More than that, I have encouraged by the decisions that have been made in the last three weeks. We have ~20 scheduled to be baptized! I am thrilled about this because sometimes the numbers coming forward can be deceiving when it comes to true conversion. However, I am grateful for ANY kind of a start for Christ that people make! Another reason I'm grateful is that it looks like we'll have 40+ that decide to become members of SCCC this Sunday. These are exciting times yet it's just a drop in the ocean when you think about all those in our county who need to know Christ or are estranged from church life.
Instead of being overwhelmed by that, I'm trying to learn to rest in the power of Christ. He's the Builder, the Head, the Life, the Source of all power for what we do! Ultimately, the INCREASE of the church is up to Him.
I am so thankful for all our C3 partners who are committed in a SUPER way in serving faithfully, giving generously, and doing it without complaining. We have so few whiners and that's huge to me!
